Cristiane Bouger is theater director, performer, writer and video artist. Since 2007 she has been collaborating as a contributing editor for the Movement Research Performance Journal in New York. Her critical and theoretical writing production comprises more than 40 articles and interviews, which were published in Brazil, the USA, England and Portugal. Her video works have been screened in independent circuits such as the 9ème Festival des Cinémas Différents, in Paris; In-Presentable, in Madrid; New Filmmakers Series - Anthology Film Archives and ACE Film Festival, in New York; Montage Video Dance Festival, in Johannesburg/South Africa and in several circuits in Brazil, including the 1st Live Art Meeting in Rio de Janeiro and Circuitos Autodependentes (epa!). In 2004 Cristiane Bouger conceived and directed Community, Activism and the Downtown Scene - an independent documentary about the experimental scene in New York. In 2006 and 2007 Bouger created videos/video-installations for Barraco, by PIP Cia. de Dança (Curitiba and São Paulo), and EXIT, by ChameckiLerner (NY).
